the kings has lost his ruby crown and raped the purity of his golden throne in thought
to find the pleasures lost in the raging scarlet tide
the prostitute is handing out flyers scathing the path to righteousness
and the vampires are invading the murk

blood the color of a crimson petal
floating through perfect serenity, only to be
ravished by swords of grass.
the mirror’s glass cracks at the reflection of scarlet red
on his mouth, dripping to her tongue
with perverse notions of depravity, soaring him even higher in her ecstatic state
